Jobing Description
Provides direct supervision of personnel in a food service environment, which focuses on employment of individuals with disabilities, and providing support to management to ensure smooth operations of Flight Kitchen.

1. Supervise mess attendants and complete daily inspection of all work activity to ensure compliance with the contract.
2. Oversee cashier functions and duties as outlined in the government cashier instruction booklet.
3. Assists the project manager and shift supervisors in planning employee work schedules, operational changes, training needs and other areas for process improvements.
4. Maintains open lines of communication with Davis-Monthan Air Force Base QAE’s, Food Services Officer and contract officials.
5. Provides on-site orientation and on-going assessment of all employees related to job duties and quality standards.
6. Conducts weekly inventory checks on all expendable supplies, equipment and equipment maintenance needs and reports daily supply and equipment concerns.
7. Performs other duties as assigned.

Applicants must have experience working in a cafeteria, flight kitchen food operations, or other similar environment.

Shift: M-F 5:00pm-9:00p, and 10:30pm-01:30am SPLIT SHIFT
Location: DMAFB
Salary: $10.47 + Benefits

Skills / Requirements
Ability to:
1. Understand and execute detailed instructions, contract specifications and regulations in both oral and written form
2. Prepare reports relating to job site operation and performance evaluations for employees.
3. Maintain a safe, clean work environment for direct-line employees.
4. Lift and carry up to 45lbs safely, bend, stoop, kneel, and stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
5. Be detailed oriented and organized.
6. Teach basic job skills to individuals with disabilities.
7. Create alternative techniques, to meet the needs of an individual, to complete a task.

Knowledge of:
1. All phases of a cafeteria, flight kitchen food operations, or other similar environment.
2. Basic computer programs.
3. Disabling conditions and how it may affect job performance.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. HS Diploma or equivalent required, Associates degree in related field is preferred.
2. Must be 21 years of age, have a clean driving record and a valid Arizona driver license.
3. Two years experience required in a cafeteria style, large volume food service operation.
4. Ability to obtain an food handler's permit.
5. Experience working with people with disabilities is preferred.


*Must have own transportation to travel on the base.
