Job: Housekeeper - Apartments

Arizona's largest owner operated property management company is seeking a Housekeeper to join our team. The primary responsibilities of the Housekeeper involve the cleaning the office, common areas and each vacant apartment in preparation for new move-ins. The Housekeeper will also assist the rest of the staff, as directed, in their efforts to manage the property in an efficient manner.

Duties and Responsibilities
•Clean the office, clubroom, and restrooms on a daily basis (prior to 9 a.m.).
•Clean and maintain models on a daily basis.
•Clean all vacant apartments as directed by the Community Director or Assistant Community Director.
•Keep all vacancies fresh and odorless.
•Clean and maintain laundry facilities daily by 10:00 a.m.
•Perform additional duties requested by the Community Director or Assistant Community Director.
•Inform management of supply needs on a bi-monthly basis.

Qualifications
•Must meet all requirements and be able to take direction.
•Is required to wear gloves as tasks dictate.

Work Hours
•40 hours per week, flexible work week. It may be necessary to work weekends.
•Weekly schedule may change as required.

Equipment Requirement:
•knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of:
oA mop, broom, vacuum cleaner, window squeegee, scrubber, step stool, small ladder, screwdriver, and other miscellaneous hand tools.
oCleaning fluids and tools

Physical Requirements
•Have constant need (66% to 100% of the time) to perform the following physical activities:

oPerform routine cleaning; pick up debris.
oAbility to climb anywhere from 1 to 3 flights of stairs

oHandle cleaning tools and equipment.
oRequired to handle cleaning chemicals. (Certain cleaning chemicals may require pre-mixing.)

Lifting/carrying Requirement (cleaning supplies, vacuum, step stool, etc.):
•1 - 25 lbs. Constant need (66% to 100% of the time)
•25 - 50 lbs. Occasional need (1% to 33% of the time)
•50 - 75 lbs. Rare need (less than 1% of the time)

Vision Requirements
•Constant need (66% to 100% of the time)
oAbility to observe areas needing attention/correction. Read cautionary labels; respond to written instructions from staff.
•Frequent need (33% to 60% of the time)
oAbility to see things clearly beyond arm's reach. Observe and assist Maintenance; observe problems throughout property.

Hearing Requirements
•Not essential. Frequent need (33% to 66% of the time)
oAble to receive instructions from residential management. Written instructions should be acceptable.

Speaking Requirements
•Constant need (66% to 100% of the time)
oAbility to communicate verbally with staff and residents.

Working Environment
•Indoors (66% to 100% of the time)
•Awkward and confining positions (33% to 66% of the time)
•Outdoors (1% to 33% of the time).
•Exposure to cleaning chemicals, paint fumes, solvents, adhesives, etc. (1% to 33% of time) Example: Apartments during/after make-ready.
