Job: BHPP Family Support Partner

Must be biological, adoptive, foster parent, sibling, or legal guardian of a child with complex behavioral health needs with a minimum of one year experience or knowledge in receiving services from the Behavioral Health System and knowledge of one of the following systems: Developmental Disability, Child Protective Services, Special Education and/or Juvenile Justice Systems. Behavioral Health Para Professional may work in the capacity of a Family Support Partner for our home based children's services. Job duties vary from co-facilitating groups, parenting skills, coordination of services. Under supervision works with assigned staff to enhance treatment services of our clients and their families. Responsible for working with the children and their families to plan and implement individualized, culturally competent services, assist with crisis management as well as being a resource for the assigned treatment provider. Provides active supportive services to the family and may assist the family members in understanding and participating in the development of a single individualized plan. Attends meetings with the family, upon request. Coordinates with other advocacy groups in their efforts to recruit, develop, and train Family Mentors.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED. Requires a willingness/desire to learn about multiple state agencies and assist families in interfacing with such agencies. Must be able to transport themselves to various locations within Pima County. Ability to operate a motor vehicle. Ability to operate personal computer keyboard and telephonic communications equipment. Spanish speaking a plus.
