Sunwest Federal Credit Union is looking for a branch manager to join our team! We're a non-profit, member owned credit union that takes great pride in providing high levels of service to our members.
The SunWest Federal Credit Union Branch Manager is responsible for leading a team of sales and service professionals to meet and exceed the sales goals and service targets of the organization. Each Branch Manager is expected to:
Work directly with members to uncover and satisfy their financial needs
Ensure the operational excellence of the branch
Maintain the highest level of member service and "Lead from the Lobby," by greeting members, directing them to the appropriate areas of the branch, and ensuring that the customers' needs are met
Observe the branch team in action "through the eyes of the member." Supervise and coach teams on proper execution of key credit union service standards, while role modeling the desired behaviors.
Manage overall aspects of running an efficient and productive branch while demonstrating SunWest Federal Credit Union’s core values and exhibiting the expectations of the Mission and Vision Statements
Responsible for providing prompt, professional, helpful, knowledgeable, and courteous member service
Coach, lead and motivate branch employees; promote participation in cross sales of products and services. Meet with employees regularly on an individual and group basis to establish and reinforce sales, service, and corporate culture goals
Ensure all branch personnel are knowledgeable with the Credit Union’s Mission and Vision Statements, that the expectations regarding said statements are understood, and that all branch personnel will be held accountable for achieving these expectations
Recommend and implement branch promotional activities and programs on a routine basis to increase awareness of the Credit Union and generate new business
Responsible for the quality and accuracy of teller, new account, member service, and loan transactions. Conduct loan interviews; process, approve, and close loans
Responsible for proper opening and closing of the branch, security, physical control and maintenance of the facility including: equipment, supply inventory, control and individual accountability of cash and negotiable items, general ledgers as assigned, and timely completion of management reports
Responsible for the personnel function within the branch including staffing levels, training, evaluating performance, employee morale, and compliance with all internal policies and external laws/regulations
Increase market share through expansion of membership with the development of new and existing member relationships
Coordinate and develop promotional activities in conjunction with Credit Union marketing initiatives
Perform other duties as assigned
Skills / Requirements
Management Responsibilities:
Continually improve branch performance, operational excellence, and employee proficiency by making sound decisions that are in the best interests of the Credit Union; exceed member satisfaction goals. Create workforce stability by cultivating an engaged, spirited, and well coached team. Drive sales to meet and exceed sales targets. Manage difficult situations with members under limited supervision and provide employees with information, data, and advice to further their development. Plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of branch activity
Knowledge Required: (Includes formal education and on-the-job training, licensure, etc.)
High School graduate. Some university or college with an emphasis in business, accounting, economics or communications is preferable. Five (5) years of financial institution experience and three (3) years experience in the Branch Manager position (or equivalent) required.

Able to efficiently operate a PC and other computer systems and software (Microsoft Office; including Excel, Word and Outlook) and normal office equipment
Analytical:
Ability to recognize members needs and offer options or alternative to fulfill those needs. Assist employees in finding solutions to their problems or providing direction in doing their assignments
Important Notes
The position may be required to work weekends and/or extended hours and regular, reliable attendance is critical.
Travel will be required for coverage at the two Tucson branches, Pantano and Campbell.
